Prayer Requests
With respect to
prayer requests, I ask that you keep in your prayers the sick of the
abbey, especially Br. Joseph, suffering from lung cancer, and Br. Jude,
who has had problems with his mobility. Please pray as well for the
recently deceased mother of Oblate Rosemary Bagan and the mother of Dr.
James Derrico, who is seriously ill. On the brighter side, many of you
have noticed that Fr. Frederick has been more mobile in recent weeks as
improvement in his foot has allowed him to walk more comfortably for the
first time in several years. It is also good to see Oblate Pat Whitby
back (on crutches) after recovery from a foot fracture, caused by a fall
from a ladder while cleaning windows in the abbey church. I also want
to thank all of the oblates who prayed for my parents, Oblates Joe and
Helen Rippinger, as they moved into Fox Knoll Retirement Community last
month. They are looking forward to continuing their participation with
the oblates from their new venue.
