ACT School Day Testing at Marmion
Tuesday, March 10, 2026
Marmion is pleased to offer sophomores, juniors, and seniors the opportunity to take an official ACT (No Writing) during the school day on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Scores from this test are official and are treated the same as scores from national Saturday ACT administrations.
Why Take the ACT at Marmion?
This School Day ACT offers several advantages:
- Convenience: Students test during the school day—no need to register for or travel to a Saturday test site.
- Guaranteed seating: No risk of Marmion’s testing site filling up.
- Dual Credit eligibility: ACT scores are required for placement into many of our dual credit and advanced math courses for next school year.
ACT Score Requirements for Course Placement
Students planning to take dual credit or advanced math courses next year must meet the following ACT benchmarks:
English
English 4 Dual Credit
- Minimum score of 19 on both English and Reading
Math
Honors PreCalculus or Regular/AP Statistics
- Minimum ACT Math score of 22
AP Calculus
- Must have completed Honors PreCalculus, or
- Earn a minimum ACT Math score of 28 if coming from Regular PreCalculus
Important: Students who do not meet the required ACT scores by early May will be required to complete placement testing through Waubonsee Community College before being enrolled in the course.
Accommodations
Students who wish to test with extended time must be approved through ACT. This accommodation is limited to students who have an approved Marmion Student Support Plan that includes extended time.
ACT may require additional documentation for first-time accommodation requests, so students are encouraged to register as soon as possible and be sure to select “Yes” to the accommodations question on the registration form.
For questions about accommodations, please contact Mrs. Lipp (clipp@marmion.org).
