Whether you are a first-year Marmion parent or a returning family, we encourage you to explore the opportunities below and find the role that fits your passion, skills, and schedule.
The Marmion Parents' Club is the heartbeat of our school community — organizing events, supporting students and faculty, and building the brotherhood that defines life as a Cadet. We are parents volunteering for parents, united by a shared commitment to Marmion's mission of faith, scholarship, and service. Every role is an opportunity to invest in your son's school, forge lifelong friendships, and experience Marmion from the inside. All experience levels are welcome — enthusiasm is the only requirement.
📅 All Parents' Club members are expected to attend our four quarterly general membership meetings held throughout the school year. These gatherings are the heartbeat of our organization — where decisions are made, events are coordinated, and the community comes together. Showing up is one of the most important ways you can support the Club and your fellow volunteers.
Officer Level Positions
President
The President serves as the chief executive of the Marmion Parents' Club, providing strategic direction and leadership for the entire organization. This individual chairs all general membership and board meetings, acts as the primary liaison between parent volunteers and school administration, and ensures that the Club's mission aligns with Marmion's values and goals.
The President is a motivating presence who brings together all committees and coordinators, mediates challenges with care, and champions a culture of service, inclusion, and Benedictine spirit throughout the year. Prior Parents' Club experience is helpful but not required — a passion for Marmion and strong leadership skills matter most.
Pre-Year Responsibilities: Before the school year begins, the President co-hosts a summer kickoff meeting to rally the board and set the tone for the year ahead. The President also co-hosts an Administration Meet & Greet — a welcoming event that brings parent volunteers together with Marmion's administration to build relationships before the year gets underway. Both events are hosted at the personal expense of the President and Co-President, reflecting their deep commitment to the Marmion community.
Co-President
The Co-President partners directly with the President to share the responsibilities of leading the Parents' Club, ensuring that no single volunteer bears the full weight of this important role. Together they plan the academic year calendar, oversee all committees, and represent the Club at school functions and events.
The Co-President is especially well positioned to learn the full scope of Club operations and is an ideal pathway for anyone who envisions taking on the Presidency in a future year. This is a wonderful role for a parent who wants deep involvement and meaningful impact on the Marmion community.

Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for the financial health and transparency of the Parents' Club. Duties include managing the annual budget, processing reimbursements and payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing regular financial updates at board meetings. The Treasurer works closely with event chairs to track expenses and ensure events remain on budget.
A background in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping is a plus but not a requirement. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and comfort with spreadsheets are the most important qualities. This is a behind-the-scenes role with enormous impact on the Club's ability to deliver exceptional programming all year long.
Communications Manager
The Communications Manager is the voice of the Marmion Parents' Club, responsible for keeping the entire parent community informed, engaged, and excited. These are hands-on, high-impact roles — perfect for parents who love to plan, create memorable experiences, and see the fruits of their labor celebrated by the entire school community.
Coffee on the Quad
Coffee on the Quad is a beloved tradition that welcomes parents to campus for an informal morning gathering, fostering connection between school families and staff. The chair for this event handles venue setup, food and beverage coordination, and volunteer scheduling to ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all who attend.
This is an excellent entry-level chair role — smaller in scope but rich in community impact. Perfect for a parent who loves hosting and wants to put their own creative stamp on a cherished Marmion tradition.
Senior Parent Social
The Senior Parent Social is an exclusive celebration honoring the families of graduating seniors — a chance to gather, reminisce, and toast the milestone ahead before commencement. The event chair manages venue selection, catering, décor, and the program, creating an evening that families will treasure long after graduation.
This role is especially meaningful for current junior or senior parents who want to give back to the Class of 2026 and make their final year unforgettable. Strong organizational skills and a flair for event planning are a great fit.
Annual Christmas Party
One of the most anticipated events on the Parents' Club calendar, the Annual Christmas Party is a festive celebration bringing together the entire Marmion parent community to kick off the holiday season in style. The chair oversees all aspects of the party from venue and catering to entertainment and décor, managing a committee to delegate tasks and ensure a seamless, joyful evening.
This is a high-profile role that calls for a creative, detail-oriented organizer who thrives under a bit of holiday-season pressure. The reward is seeing hundreds of smiling Marmion families gathered together — it's one of the most gratifying events of the year to lead.
Mother / Son Dance
The Mother/Son Dance is one of the most heartfelt traditions in the Marmion calendar — an evening dedicated to celebrating the special bond between Cadets and their mothers or mother figures. The chair creates an elegant, memorable event by coordinating the venue, music, catering, photography, and decorations that make the night feel truly special.
This role is perfect for a parent with a love of celebration and an eye for meaningful detail. You will be gifting families a night they will talk about for years, and that's a truly special privilege.
Mother's Brunch
The Mother's Brunch is a refined daytime celebration honoring all of the incredible mothers in the Marmion family. The chair curates a beautiful, welcoming event complete with a thoughtful program, elegant table settings, and delicious food — an experience that makes every mother feel seen and celebrated for her role in her son's journey.
A wonderful role for someone who has a talent for creating warm, inviting atmospheres and who wants to give back to the community of mothers who support Marmion every day.
Faculty / Staff Year-End Lunch
The Faculty/Staff Year-End Lunch is the Parents' Club's way of saying thank you to the extraordinary teachers, coaches, and staff members who dedicate themselves to our Cadets each and every day. The chair organizes a special luncheon on campus, working with Marmion's administration to coordinate timing, catering, and any recognition elements that honor the faculty's service.
This role is a deeply meaningful act of gratitude. If you want to directly show your appreciation for the people who care for your son, this is the role for you.
Let's Hear It for the Boys
Let's Hear It for the Boys is a heartfelt, four-times-a-year tradition dedicated to celebrating our Cadets and showing them they are seen, appreciated, and cheered on by the entire Marmion parent community. Each event is a small but meaningful gesture — a surprise treat, a token of encouragement, or a simple act of recognition that reminds our boys how proud their parents are of them, both on and off the field.
The chair plans and coordinates all four seasonal gestures throughout the year, working with the school to deliver each one at just the right moment. This is a wonderfully creative and feel-good role — perfect for a parent who loves brightening someone's day and believes that a little recognition goes a long way.
Program Coordinators
Program Coordinators manage some of the most impactful ongoing initiatives the Parents' Club supports throughout the year. These roles require consistent engagement and a personal investment in the program's success — they are ideal for parents who want to take ownership of a specific area and build something meaningful over the course of the school year.
Cadet Cash Coordinator
The Cadet Cash Coordinator manages the full cycle of the Cadet Cash prepaid card program, keeping it running smoothly for the entire school community. Cadet Cash is powered by Raise Right — a gift card money-back fundraising program that allows families to purchase everyday gift cards while earning a percentage back for Marmion. Key responsibilities include coordinating parent orders through Raise Right, placing physical card orders every Monday, processing cards when they arrive at school, and distributing them to families in a timely manner.
The coordinator is also the voice of the program — posting regular reminders about order deadlines, announcing sales, and promoting special offers in the Facebook Moms and Dads groups to keep families informed and engaged. They work closely with the finance team to answer parent questions and clearly explain how Cadet Cash works. The coordinator also works a table at Registration Day to introduce the program to new families and sign up first-time users.
This is an ideal role for a detail-oriented, communicative parent who enjoys staying organized, connecting with the school community, and making campus life a little easier for every Cadet family.
Used Uniform Sale Coordinator
The Used Uniform Sale makes Marmion's required dress uniform more accessible and affordable for all families by facilitating the resale of gently used uniform pieces. The coordinator organizes collection, sorting, pricing, and sales events — typically held around key transition times in the school calendar — and ensures a smooth, welcoming experience for both donors and buyers.
A perfect role for a parent who appreciates sustainability, community support, and practical service. If you love organizing a good sale and helping fellow Marmion families save money, this role was made for you.
Young Hearts for Life Coordinator
Young Hearts for Life is a vital cardiac screening program that helps identify potentially life-threatening heart conditions in student athletes before they become tragedies. The coordinator works with medical partners and school administration to organize screening events on campus, communicate with families about the program's importance, and ensure strong student participation.
This is one of the most consequential roles in the Parents' Club — a program that can literally save lives. It is ideal for a parent with a healthcare background or a deep commitment to student wellness and safety.
Moms in Faith Coordinator
Moms in Faith is a spiritual community for the mothers of Marmion, offering a space for prayer, reflection, fellowship, and mutual support rooted in the Benedictine tradition. The coordinator plans and facilitates regular gatherings — including prayer sessions, guest speakers, and community service opportunities — and helps mothers feel connected to the faith life at the heart of Marmion's mission.
This role is a calling as much as a commitment. It is ideal for a mother who is passionate about faith, community, and creating a spiritual home for other Marmion moms throughout the year.
Dads in Faith Coordinator
Dads in Faith is the parallel spiritual community for Marmion fathers, bringing men together in faith, brotherhood, and service. The coordinator organizes meaningful gatherings — from morning prayer breakfasts to service projects and retreat days — that invite Marmion dads to deepen their own faith lives while supporting the values their sons encounter every day at school.
This is a uniquely rewarding role for a father who wants to model faith and brotherhood, live out Marmion's Benedictine values alongside other dads, and foster a community of fathers committed to formation and service.
Class Representatives
Class Representatives are the connective tissue between the Parents' Club board and individual class communities. Reps serve as trusted points of contact for parents in their son's grade, help spread important news and event information, encourage participation, and bring the voice of their class to the broader organization. This is one of the most flexible and accessible volunteer roles in the Club — ideal for a parent who is passionate about community but prefers a less structured time commitment.

Registration Day
Registration Day is one of the most important touchpoints of the year — the moment when families officially begin their Marmion journey.
